Advantages: Good descriptions and Characterisation Disadvantages: Quite crude in parts if you are offended easily!
Amy Sohn's charactor Ariel lives in new York City and desperatly wants to be an actress. After a few walk on parts in ads Ariel lands herself a job as a sex colomnist on a downbeat New York Village paper.

...recommend you give this book a miss. If you want the story of a nineteen year old trying to live in New York, read "RunCatchKiss" by AmySohn. If you want a story of a drug addict who goes into rehab, read "Rachel's Holiday" by Marian Keyes (both books I have previously reviewed on Ciao). Both are far superior to this novel, with likeable heroines and an actual plot. You may look cool and hip reading "Normal Girl" on the tube but, if you're anything like me, you'll be bored virtually to tears by it....
