Runescape One you started, you won't stop I have been playing runescape for around 1 year now and I have really enjoyed it. I first noticed this game when my friend was playing it .it really intrigued me and I knew when I got home that I was going to play this myself. I have been playing for a year and now I am level 93 and I have worked really hard for this. It takes a lot of time and effort to be a successful player on runescape. Between lessons at school I'd often sit with some friends in the computer room, trying out java games, shooting games, even a Mafia role play once. I'm glad I didn't discover this game til recently otherwise I'd never have gone to lessons ever again! It's main charm is the freedom you have to roam the fantasy world, fighting goblins, getting money, doing quests and building up you're character's skills on the way. I've been playing Runescape for quite some time now ... probably 10 months or so. I have played computer games for the last 23 years, ever since I had my first computer. Nothing could have prepared me for this game however. I still can't quite work out why I am so addicted to this game. It must be a combination of curiousity mixed with freedom to do what you want combined with the fact that you are playing amongst thousands of other players. If you're a gamer theres no doubt you've heard of these big name games: Everquest, Ultima Online, Guild Wars, City of Heroes... they all promise Multiplayer Online gaming with thousands upon thousands of other players. What they dont tell you (at least not to start) is that alongside paying upwards of £30 for the game you must also fork out anything from £12-£20 each month just to continue playing! RuneScape - The Massive Online Adventure Game Generally I don't have a problem with game addiction and there are very few games that have actually eaten away at my hour's without including 'Halo' but I feel RuneScape have really succeeded into making there game an MMORPG (Massively Multi-playing Online Role Playing Game) the game not only has the 'helping newbie' factor so that people playing by them selves can understand the game it also has one of the biggest variation I've ever seen in a game, skills to level, quests to complete and ego's to build RuneScape has it all.
