...The trouble with most stylish kettles is that they sound like a 747 taking off and takes as long to boil as it takes my other half to say 'ill do the washing up!'
We've just moved and wanted a stylish kitchen with the vogue stainless steel effect, but didn’t want to compromise in buying a 'naff' kettle. We researched pretty well all the vogue kettles, and ended up with this superb stylish device.
The RussellHobbs 10242 kudo boils the water so quickly that you have little time to prepare the beverages. This is due to the flat plate heater that gives a larger surface area to convect the heat into the water.
A lot of vogue kettles are either cone-shaped or metallic, which, by its nature of shape or substance generates enormous noise. The oval cylindrical shape of the kudo along with its high temperature plastic reservoir reduces...

Advantages: Timer, removable water tank, looks. Disadvantages: Makes lousy coffee!
...I bought a kudos on Saturday - my previous coffee maker having 'died' some two weeks ago. I was looking forward to having coffeee on hand again and to getting up to a ready supply of the lovely stuff. My fist brew was bitter - thought it must be the coffee I was using but same coffee in a cafetiere tasted great! Tried to set the timer - it did not work. Made more coffee and realised that the hotplate was so hot that the coffee was actually boiling in the jug! Returned coffeemaker yesterday(Monday) and got another same model. Timer works but the coffee is still being boiled resulting in a a very bitter brew that after an hour on the hotplate looks more like tar. Will be asking for my money back today (Purchased from Currys for £32.97)...

Advantages: Good looking. Disadvantages: it doesnt play the piano.
...If i told my mum i was doing a review on a toaster she'd get the men with the white coats around asap! Lets face it, a toaster just browns breads, how exciting can that be?
Well if you want a kitchen to look a bit special and vogue, this toaster may well be the answer to your kitchen design.
We bought the toaster because of the reputation of RussellHobbs and it was a twin of the RussellHobbs 'kudo' kettle (review 18.02.05). It has a brushed stainless steel outer with electronic touch button controls & a lcd browning display.
It looked all very gimmicky when we opened the box and at £45, we thought was a lot of money for a toaster. But WOW, the toast is slowly raised out of the chamber, not ejected (like in james bond 007, you know DB6 ejector seat!) and the toast is cooked exactly right, still moist, not petrified & hard...
