Advantages LOOKS VERY STYLISH, VERY SIMPLE TO USE, COMPETITIVE PRICING

Disadvantages QUITE LARGE FOR STORAGE

I purchased this because of my current obsession for buying a panini with my coffee when shopping. These are often overpriced and underfilled prompting me to try make my own. Nip to the supermarket buy you panini rolls and your fillings of choice and the rest is too simple.

To Use;
When switched on wait for the red light to change to green, approx 3-5 mins, to say that it is ready to use. The top plate of the press, which has an easy cleanglass top, lifts up and is hinged so that the plate angles to suit the size of roll you place inside. Once lifted the plates should be lightly sprayed with oil and the filled roll or rolls placed on the bottom plate. The lid is closed and the sandwich cooks in about 5 mins. Because the lid is hinged the food cooks very evenly. The element inside the unit which heats up to book the food is also flat which assists with the even cooking. The toaster will hold 4 rolls and the plates are easily cleaned. They are non stick and should be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not use sharp implements to lift food from the plates as they will scratch

Fillings
Can make sandwiches with a variety of breads in focaccia, rolls, wraps etc. and hundreds of fillings. There are some recipe ideas in the instruction book to inspire you but there are so many fillings to choose from. Personal favourites are tuna and cheese (mix grated cheese into tuna - holds together better when it melts), sweet chilli chicken and salmon and scrambled eggs.

Appearance
The body and wooden handle of the unit remain cool to touch after cooking, only the metal edging at the bottom gets slightly warm. Has a very stlish glass surface on the top and a wooden handle, beech or oak, with a stainless steel trip along the base plate.
Only downside is the size of the unit if you want to put it away - 36cm wide by 37.5cm deep by 12cm high -but stylish enough to be on view.

Additional purchases
Can buy matching kettle and toaster. Both of which i can highly recommend.

Cost
£29.99 on offer at moment.
Usual cost from £39.99 to £59.99 at some stores.
Shop around.
