The Russel Hobbs Retro toaster is one piece of equipment you need to consider if you are upgrading your kitchen. It is a piece of modern technology worth considering for your Christmas shopping list. I bought mine for £24.99 at Woolworths. It comes in a large box with a picture of the 2 slice...

4 slices, slidig crumb tray

None so far

Kitchen is not complete without a toaster and this is the one you want to have. Its polished, modern with soft edges and very easy to use. 4 slots are particularly handy even if its a household of 2 as you can prepare 4 toasts at once without having to wait for one set of toasts to toast whilst...

Not for me

published 20/01/2009

This toaster was reduced from £80 to £40 at Curry. It looked nice, but dangerous. First it is a nightmare to get your toast out particularly if small or pitta bread. this encourages kids to insert all sorts of things to fish the the toast out. in addition 3 months in use, now tripps the electricity RCD switch 50%25 of times of use. Totally useless. If you have no stars i would have chosen that.

Bought one had to return it within a couple of weeks, got a replacement and the same problem occurred again! Got stuck when it was down and would not pop up again so bread would get all stuck down inside. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! and don't go to Argos their Customer Service is APPALLING!
