I can't really think of a person who likes to do the ironing. It's one of those chores that I hate to do. Often the laundry grows up to the ceiling so when I finally decide to actually attack that mountain I want an ironer that helps me and not works against me. I hate ironing, I really do but with the amount of clothes my family get through each week I find that I spend a considerable amount of time doing the ironing. One thing that often troubles me about irons is that I worry I might accidentally burn the house down. My fear is such that not only do I return to a room after finishing the ironing to check that I have switched the device off, I will return numerous times to check and re-check. My fear extends to such a point that I will not return the iron to its box until the end of the day, thus ensuring if there is any heat remaining in its plate it will not fry the cardboard and ignite into a blaze.
