We got this as a gift, from all places, the building company that built our house as part of a thank you basket. I think in the beginning we used it for a while until we bought a kettle that matched our toaster but apart from that we have not had much need for it. That's not saying its a bad kettle. Its main function, to boil water, is done well with no complaints and so one could give this 5 out of 5 stars just for achieving that. I guess if you are the sort of person who camps a lot then this would be a good kettte for you but as I don't really camp I don't really have a need for a small, basic kettle. Still.........

It does not have the nicest look to it. This is a white plastic kettle with no frills, fancy lights, etc. It is very light as it is made out of a cheap plastic so unlike our big heavy metal kettle that we have it is good for transportation. It also does not have a base unit that it sits on to boil like a lot of kettles these days so you only have one part that you need to worry about and move about.

It's simple to use as most kettles are. There is an on/off switch on the top of the handle which has always worked well for us and a power light on the bottom so you can see when it is in action and when it has finally boiled and switched off. In the time that we used it we had no problems with it no switching off as that has been an issue with other kettles that we ahve had that just comtinued to boil until we turned them off.

This kettle has a quite large capacity compared to travel kettles of old which you could just about squeeze one cup out of. This has 850ml capacity so if you are carrying it from a camp kitchen back to your tent this would only mean one trip instead of several. The kettle also came with two little cups and spoons so everything you would need if you are going to take this away with you.

As it was a gift I obviously didn't pay for it but a quick search on the web shows that they are retailing for £15.99. All in all a good cheap travel kettle.
