Does what it says on the tin

Advantages: Good for screwdriver use and simple drilling
Disadvantages: Not powerful enough for brickwork

I picked up one of these about six months ago from B&Q for around £60. There must have been some offer on at the time as I got this exact model, but with two batteries. The drill is pretty good. It is light in weight, but quite powerful. Using it to drill into wood is fine. To put screws in, again very good. I managed to put up a small shed, which involved using for screws only. The battery lasted for almost the complete job, so I was glad I had the spare on charge. Do not buy this drill if you are looking to do a lot of DIY work. This is especially true if you need to drill into walls and more importantly brickwork. It can handle plasterboard fine, but needs a hammer function to handle bricks and concrete. As a drill/driver it is pretty good though. Buy wisely though as currently you can pick up Makita drills, cordless, with hammer ...

Review of Bosch PSR 1440 - 14.4V Cordless Drill

Compact and powerful

Advantages: Powerful for a cordless drill, Compact, Well priced
Disadvantages: Can't think of any.

This 14.4V drill from makita is a good buy. I have been using this tool for over 2 months now and i'm very happy with my purchase. The 6280 is very compact. I was able to screw in 1 inch long screws with the drill squeezed between 2 wood boards only 9 inches apart. The drill comes with a charger and 2 batteries, which is more than enough power to get you through most jobs. You can drill intensively for 2-3 hours with a fully charged battery and it takes a little more than 1 hour to recharge a dead one. I tried the 12 volts version of this drill so I can recommand that you buy the 14.4 volt; It has more power and the batteries last longer. Keyless chuck makes for fast changing of bits. This drill will propably lasts you a very long time. Makita usualy makes quality power tools. I have a corded makita drill at my job (it belongs to ...

Bosch GSB18VE2 - 18V Cordless Combi Drill

Advantages: Light Weight, Professional Grade, Easy To Use
Disadvantages: Not Lethium Ion, so charging times are alittle longer.

In my opinion one of the best combi drill i have used. I am a certified electrician and i use it for all types of work i carry out. It's nice and compact (compared to other 18V drills) which is a plus when is comes to getting in really tight places. I would recommend it to anyone. I have tried a lot of drills in my career, by all means this one has beat them all. Anyone out there tired of spending money on expensive drills, just to hassle with instructions and complicated attachments, don't put yourself through that. This drill is the BEST, very very very easy to use. Last year my girlfriend wanted to hang curtain rods, she was keen in doing it her self, and she did. I mean if my girlfriend can use this drill and do a professional job anyone can. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!! ...
