I first noticed Ryvita Minis popping up in my supermarket a few months before xmas, and being a bit of a savoury snack addict decided to give them a go.
Although not a ryvita fan at all i was pleasantly surprised by them, wholesome and delicious - that is a first for me!
They come in 5 delicious flavours:-
Cream Cheese and Chive, Garlic and Herb, Worcester Sauce, Mature Cheddar and Onion, and Tomato Salsa.
According to the blurb on the bag they are only 3% fat, which belies the lovely flavour and generous amount in a portion (30g compared to 25g in a standard bag of crisps). This equates to 0.8g of fat and 102 calories per bag - hardly even a dent in the recommended daily amounts for average adults!
As the name suggests they are made from wholemeal rye, which is high in fibre, so eaten as part of a healthy diet they can help maintain a healthy digestive system.
At 48p for a bag from a Tesco near you (and i am sure most supermarkets/local shops will stock them also), they wont break the bank either, although you might find you need to buy more than one, as i have found one downfall associated with this product:-
They are just too moreish! Not such a healthy option if you find yourself eating two bags in a row!

There is one last point that i have to make, but a very important one. Anyone with food allergies should read all ingredients on food products for allergens before consuming. There is a helpful list on this item directly under the ingredients which contains the following:-
Rye, Barley, Gluten, Soya, and traces of Sesame Seeds.
This is i am sure a pre-requisite for all allergy sufferers, but it is good to see the allergens listed separately and in bold writing so they cannot be missed.
