Advantages: Smells amazing, makes skin soft and smooth Disadvantages: Very girly, not one for the guys
I'm not normally one for long soaks in the bath, but every now and again after a hard day at work it's all I want to do. I've bought various products over the years to use on such occasions, but as far as I can remember I've never thought enough of any to buy them again. When I saw the Radox herbal bath range on offer at £1 for a 500ml bottle in my local Morrisons, I bought one of each to re-stock my bathroom shelves. The one I'm reviewing is the Moisture Soak herbal bath.
It comes in a tall, clear plastic bottle through which the pale girly pink liquid can be seen, with a pale pink screw-on lid. The bottle is easy enough to open and fastens securely enough to prevent any spills. The bottle has a simple open-neck top, rather than any kind of dispenser, so you simply screw off the lid and pour the product from the bottle ...
Advantages: Smells great, foams well, good value Disadvantages: Foam doesn't last very well
squeezy plastic so you can always tell how much you have left and the lid pulls off to reveal the orange dispenser top beneath. This is another one of those ones where you push down on one side and the other side flips up slightly to reveal the slit it comes out of.
It promises that by pouring it under running water and lying back and relaxing, it will leave my skin perfectly smooth, hydrated and delicately fragranced. It does however, suggest that it is used in accordance with other Sanctuary products – which I’m sure would help this claim.
The bathsoak itself is a pleasant creamy yellow colour (slightly like a pale custard) and smells like your typical Sanctuary product at first – all the products seem to have the same basic smell not matter what they claim they contain. No one scent really stands out when smelling it ...
Radox has been around for years but it wasn't until recently that I decided to buy some and have a bath and see whether it was as good as reports i'd heard from others.
It's a bubble bath which is made from herbs. They come in different combinations to have different effects on the body- lavendar based ones to help relax, papya based ones to help you calm etc. They're all aimed around giving you time to relax and unwind after your stessful day. The different combinations are always very subtle too- they don't smell overly rich. The smells are always just subtle enough.
The consistancy is quite thick and you only need a little bit for the bubbles to appear unlike with lots of other bubble baths i've had where you have to use virtually the whole bottle to get enough bubbles (or maybe i like tooo many bubbles in my bath?)
It ...
