Remember the good old days of the old SEGA when we all used to play those old 2D games for hours. Well now you can do the same on your PSP with the SEGA Mega Drive Collection which include the main and most popular games of that era.
Below is a list of the wide variety of SEGA games that come on the PSP diskette:-
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle Altered Beast Bonanza Bros Columns
Comic Zone - A cartoon based game in which the main character is sucked into one of his comics that he has created. He has to beat the enemies that he has created in the comics. Very comic like in how you can jump between margins of the comic book pages.
Decap Attach starring Chuck D. Head
Ecco the Dolphin -Ecco the Dolphin is where you play as a dolphin in the see and have to travel around jumping obstacles to get where you need to go and do different tasks to complete missions. The success of this game caused the further development of more games like it which are on this PSP diskette.
Ecco II: The Tides of Time Ecco Jr. Kid Chameleon Flicky Gain Ground Golden Axe Golden Axe II Golden Axe III Phantasy Star II Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millenium Ristar Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
Sonic the Hedgehog - Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the most famous SEGA games for years and because of its success caused the development of further games such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. This is one of the most enjoyable games on the diskette for me because I used to love this game years ago.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Super Thunder Blade Sword of Vermilion VectorMan VectorMan 2 Virtual Fighter 2
I paid £29.99 brand new for this game however since buying it I've seen that you can now buy it for £10 over the last few months. It was a must have, just to remind me of some of the fun I used have with the SEGA. Definitely worth the money. Think about how many disk you can buy to day in which they have this many games on. Today you get one game per disk at the best so by considering it this is a bargain.
Some of the games that you look through on the diskette may not seem as good as you remember. I found this, I think that's because I'm used to playing some of today's games.
The games are run off a menu in which you can scroll down of to get to the game that you want. As you go down the list a bit of information is shown about each game that you look at.
Thanks for reading :)

...on PSP and PS2 the sega mega drive collection proves just how popular and fun a good retro game can be!
A little advert like, I know - but these games excite me and I love the idea that after nearly 20 years these games are still extremely popular - and 28 games packed onto a UMD is enough to keep you busy from London to New York (believe me, ive done it with this!) The Sega Megadrive collection has a varied selection of mega drive games, from platform classics Sonic to beat em up masterpieces, Virtua Figthter
The truth is all of these game's had graphics that were outstanding for there time and each of th gameplay has easily stood the test of time. A save feature where you can save were and whenever you want, perfect for the PS2. The menus are easy too follow
The negatives? No Streets Of Rage. And some of the extras felt more as a waste of space than extras, but this is a small complaint. Take a trip down memory lane, or experince for the first time what the ...

Advantages: Cheap price, Variety of games, plenty of extras Disadvantages: Limited multiplayer, not recommended to people who favour graphics over gameplay.
At just over 15 quid, for 27 games, it is great value for money, possibly for the classic of Sonic the Hedgehog. Most of the games will manage to keep your attention for a few hours with luck. However, some of the games are just thrown in to make the collection seem bigger and you will want to avoid such as the bonaza bros. Difficulty varies from game to game, Ecco the Dolphin, I feel is one of the hardest but most are relatively easy to play and ... ...arade games which add a little incentive to try most of the main games. Multiplayer is available for 15 of the games, but most will not entertain for long and little variety between the games that are multiplayer. Despite this, there is playability and the price should at least tempt you into buying what is an enjoyable, albeit dated, gaming experience. ...

Sound and Music
Improvements were also made in the sequel. Better quality sound effects to how they would sound in reality. Desert Strike had a few muffled sounds that crackled, especially when so much was happening on the same screen at once. However, this seems to have been corrected this time and I haven't encountered that problem even once.
Better forms of music were included for mission briefings to recreate the drama. Like for most retro gaming, tracks were midi format, unlike these high standard MP3 formats that you will hear these days.
Recommendations
An excellent sequel and well recommended to all fans of Desert Strike. Can be found for the Sony PSP in a Sega classics type collection. If the PSP doesn't take to your liking, it...

...It was 1992 I believe when I first clapped eyes on a SegaMega-Drive, having turned the heat up more than a few notches since my last form of game playing machine (a Commodore 64) the SegaMega-Drive featured breath-taking graphics, and unprecedented game playing compared to anything that had gone before. Armed with £15 of credit on my Game Loyalty Card I headed off to Game where I purchased the SegaMega-DriveCollection priced £14.99; for playing on the Sony PSP console. I have to confess I was feeling in the mood for a little nostalgia.
I cant deny I felt a little disappointed at the time of purchase with the quality of games that were on the disc, however the opportunity to play Sonic 1 and 2, and Golden Axe was too much of a temptation to pass me by.
