Text messaging for free!

Advantages: It's free, delivery confirmation
Disadvantages: lots of adverts, wait up to 10mins for some messages

CBF stands for CardBoard Fish and is a website that offers a free worldwide SMS (text messaging) service. However, the site and service are paid for by placing heavy advertising on their site, including popups which you have to check the box to be willing to accept, in order to use the service. You also have to check a box to confirm that you will use no popup blocking software while using the site. Given that there is no login system, you have ...
...which can get a bit tedious and this is why I haven't given CBFSMS full marks. The site is quite easy to use, you simply type in the phone number of the person you want to send a text message to and then enter the message in the form, though you do have a limited amount of space for characters, so you can only send fairly short messages. You will also get a popup advert with every single message you send. Also, a lot of the time you may have to ...

DooYoo

Advantages: Its great to be able to get your own opinion out there on products!
Disadvantages: Some people!

I joined DooYoo a few months ago when I found it on MoneySaving Expert. I'll be honest my first thought was I need the money, as I'm sure alot of people on there (if they're honest with you and themselves) thought. The fact you could get paid for writing reviews on the things you had for other people to read I thought was great. I was an unemployed person at the time, and so as well as the extra money, it was also something good for me to do while ...
...been done. When I first started out, I was reviewing everything that I owned, every single electrical item got a reviewing, as at first that was all I thought you could review. I must admit at first my reviews were only just above 150 words, not because I only wanted the money fast, but because I was finding it hard to find anything else to write about a TV or heater. Then I realised I could review films and books- as an English and Film Studies ...

Free sms on the web 100 per month

Advantages: Save 10p for each message you send
Disadvantages: Limited to 100 free sms per month

>>> Background I have used O2 (genie) for well over a year and has to be the best way of sending SMS from the net. Even though they placed the limitation to 100 free every month, it still isn’t bad. A recent update to their site now enables you to send 316 characters spread over a maximum of 3 sms's in one go and can also send the same message to multiple people simply by adding a comma after the name or number. You have a dedicated address book ...
...thus speeding up sending the messages. >>> The Service Messages are received almost instantaneous, however these can sometimes be delayed but not for too long. The sites availability is good, but on a few occasions the website has been down and won’t allow you to send any messages. >>> The Cost It doesn’t matter what network you are sending to, I send texts to ALL networks and can still use the facility free of charge, so you don’t have to be with ...

o2 Genie Card / Talk Alot

Advantages: Saving Money
Disadvantages: None!

...not a review on the o2 website sms service, but for o2 sim card sms service. I was always on Vodafone and never thought i would change untill...an o2 operator phoned me and told me about the 'Genie Card' costing 10 pounds each, though at that time there was an offer of 'buy one get one free' so i bought them and give one to a friend. What is a genie Sim Card?: Many of you may know this by 'o2 Talk alot' . The Genie tarrif consists of 300 free ...
...WAP per month. You only get this by topping up your phone with 10 pounds each month. Some people have trouble understanding this! so for example, you get you 'Genie Card' on the 13th of November, you put 10 pounds in your phone on the 13th, your tarrif thens starts from the 14th. You still get to keep your 10 pounds credit. As long as you top your phone up 10 pounds each month, need it be the day after you tarrif starts or the day before it ends, ...
