After all those cheesy morning tv programmes and endless rows of cartoons and talk shows comes... SMTV LIVE!
There I was on Saturday morning 9:25 gazing at the tv waiting for a good programme to come on when the cool music to smtv live came on. It was really up beat and it got me looking at the tv straight away.
I was sitting with my nephews when the programme came on, and there was a sudden laugh when I saw the presenters Ant, Dec and Kat Deeley for the first time. Apparently they had seen this programme several times and they really enjoy it. What I got to lose? nothing.. so I thought I would take a look.
Ant, Dec and Kat are great presenters and add a certain atmosphere to the programme. They do little sketches which are really fun and they have dances and special songs for certain areas of the show such as the smtv postbag. When the postman arrives with the postbag we have them burst into song with the audience and sing and dancing to Mr Postman.
The show has many cartoons, such as Pokemon and Sabrina The Teenage Witch. They also have many games such as Challenge Ant, which is a game where a child comes into the studio and asks Ant questions. If he gets the wrong they win a computer game, but if Ant gets its them all right he becomes the brainbox. They also have a game called Splatoon, which is alike paintball, except you phone in to win prizes and a celebrity plays for you. They have to shoot ballons with paintballs blindfolded. Amongst other games there is also wonkey donkey, where the contestants are given 10 seconds to think of two words that rhyme and go good together to describe the object. An example being the wonkey donkey.
This programme has been around for about a year and a half. Its contents is good and its really funny. The presenters are excellent and this is what really makes the show work along, with great music celebrities and competitions. Its suitable for everyone as adults will find it funny. I certainly did. So why not spend your mornings watching SMTV.. that is filmed live.
