i won a fish at the fair and couldnt afford to buy a filter/bubbler,as i had spent all my money on a decent tank and decoration for it.Fish need oxygen in the water naturaly, because although they live under water they still breathe in air through thier gills, without oxegen they could die eventually, and most people wouldn't even know why.

so i needed to find a cheap alternative to a bubbling filter, which constantly produces bubbles underwater, which make the water rich with oxegen. So i took a trip to the local garden center in wantage, where they have a pets corner section,i was familiar with thier products and had used them before with my cat.

They sell anything for pets, beds, toys, straw, hay, food, and much more.So i headed for the fish section and i saw some filters, but they were about £15 at the cheapest and then i saw a little box called oxygenating tablets, and i read the back and discovered that they slowly dissolve in the water producing oxegen, but unlike the filter there isnt a constant buzzing noise and you dont have to use electricity to constantly power the filter. They are much cheaper and you only have to put one to three tablets in every 3-4 days, depending on the amount of water in your tank.they are £1.20 where i brought them and will probably be simelar in other retail stores,i would try pets at home if i were lookin for some.you get about 20 tablets in each pack, depending on what size pack you buy.

I went home and tried them and now i am regularly using them instead of a filter/bubbler.my gold fish is healthy and well.and i am glad that i discovered them.they dissolve leaving the water rich with oxegen.

If your fish is going to the surface of the water then that is a sign that they are in need of oxygen in the water.for any fish, but mostly used in coldwater for goldfish etc..

hope this helped in advance!
