Advantages: None Disadvantages: Poor Customer Service
I would like to be able to share my expereince of SVP's product but unfortunatly thats not possible as they have failed to deliver. This in its self is not unusual, problems occuer in the best managed online shopping system. What seperates the good from the bad is what happens next. In the case of my own order, it was nothing, delays, excuses, and un answered emails. The order was consumables (Blank Media & a USB memory Stick), nothing special, payment was by Paypal, all ok,
its been 3 weeks and stil nothing but excuses, (Despite forwarding my Paypal reciept).
I don't know whats happened at SVP but something is not right. I will never order from them again, and in my opinion poor service should not be rewarded by customer loyality. ...

I have always bought my pc consumables from SVP.
They have always shipped fast and whenever I have had a problem they have always replied within days.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
Haven't used them for awhile but when they had a shipping offer recently I could not resist. I ordered several packs of printer paper and some dvd cases.
Order took a little longer than I expected but after 2 weeks it arrived and I was very disappointed that the paper I had ordered was not in the box. The paper was on the invoice and I had been charged for it but it was not in my possession. Also found 3 of the dvd cases had been cracked, the outer packaging was fine so it appears these items were broken before they were shipped to me.
Emailed them on Monday, no reply on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday so I emailed them again.
Finally ...
Advantages: sort of cheap when hassle-free Disadvantages: delivery schedule not as advertised, slow customer service, buggy website (at times)
As a regular customer, all I can say is that SVP is not what it used to be. The customer response is slow and unreliable - a state-of-affair that recently forced me to name and shame them on a forum, which they sponsor, in order to get a reply (something, which I encourage people to do, if SVP is being unresponsive). When they did reply, it was only to pass the buck and blame the problem on Paypal.
Buyers should also be weary of their so-called "Express Courier (Next Business Day)" service. I placed an order well before 3pm on a Monday and, despite having paid for what looks like a premium shipping rate (note that I was not given any other shipping options at checkout), the order still had not despatched 24 hours later (the status remained stuck at 'picking'). In my opinion, SVP's claim that they will provide next-day delivery ...
