Advantages: Entertaining Military fantasy Disadvantages: Some will be put off by the Military aspects
...does make for a very good read. The story line and plot supplied by David Drake and the writing done by S MStirling. This is a totally different story line to the other Belisarius collaboration by Mr Drake.
This type of book would not appeal to all being what I would term slightly more military science fiction, but for all that it does make for a very interesting read.

Advantages: Exceptional writing and research. Very challenging and difficult decisions to make that will stretch your morals to the brink Disadvantages: The third book is not a patch on the first
...of humanity in chains and for the Draka to become the supreme race.
However, if you were to think that they were basically Nazis or Confederates you would be wrong. Stirling has done a first class job of mixing and moulding hese people into somthing more than simply Nazi carbon copies, there is somthing different about them. Somthing unsettling that tells you that they are Human, but are somehow different. Advantages: Quality, different, yet familiar. Disadvantages: Too short?
