The cymbal in question is a Sabian AAX 16" Stage Crash. It was bought off a friend (the bassist of Drink Drivers Aginst Mothers, Drivers against, watever they are calling themselves now. Check 'em out!) for £60 with a stand.

It has been with me for over a year so i have got pretty used to it and it has never failed to deliver!
The only thing wrong with it is at quiter volumes it can be very over powering.

The thing is, no matter how hard or soft you hit this thing within a certain range, it manages to produce the same volume. Great if your beating the living s**t out of it. However with my jazz quartet it tends to be just to loud.

It is a light cymbal. Pick it up and give it a flex will show you just how light but with it it seems to be increadibly durable.
I play in a punk band also and i hit proper hard. Where pro-sonixs gave up the ghost, this little beauty comes back for more, and more, and more, untill your so tired you cant be bothered any more.

Also when i played at a school once and the drum riser fell apart mid song and the bass drum, 12" tom and my stage crash all fell off the front. We put it all bac and carried on. On closer inspection it was fine.

Made me very happy.

The sound is just amazing, i mid to high ringing crash. I have found it fits well into lots of different styles. Ska-Punk, Metal, Latin, even when i used it as the largest of my crashes in a pantomime. it still amazed me just how versatile it is.

There are really no draw backs if your into mid to high volume levels and like really shiny pices of metal swinging around in front of your face. I personaly love it!

Sorry about the spelling. This is a nearly new computer and it doesnt even have word or a spell check.
(I just found a crack in mine, less than a week after writing this. I jinxed the hell outta my self!!)
