Advantages: great book
Disadvantages: none

You could be forgiven for thinking when picking up this book that it is going to be a very romantic read embellished with hearts and flowers along the way. The image of Cupid on the front cover along with references to Valentines day would lead you to this conclusion as well as the title - The Idea of Love. However, that's not what this novel is about at all and the author, Louise Dean, presents a very different idea of love indeed. I have to admit that when I started reading this book, I did not think I was going to enjoy it very much. All of the main characters appeared self-centred, shallow and extremely unsympathetic and I could not imagine that I was going to care very much about what happened. Yet, as I continued to read, I was somehow drawn towards these intriguing characters and I found that I wanted to read more. Therefore it ...

A great Idea

Advantages: Full of great inspiration for a forthcoming wedding
Disadvantages: Somtimes has repeated ideas

My Story I've been engaged since June 2000, but only recently started planning our wedding. We booked our venue in October 2007, and the date is set for the end of March 2008 - not long to do much planning! We're on a budget and doing as much of the wedding as we can ourselves, with most family members chipping in with some sort of skill or another! However, we needed ideas, and the best way is of course doing a little research using magazines and internet resources. While doing our shopping in Tesco I came across this little gem in the magazine section. It was immediately appealing because of its small in size and price! I had a quick flick through the magazine in the shop and decided to buy it and have a proper read of it at home. Inspiration This little magazine is full of great inspiration for any size of wedding ...

Here's my Bright Idea

Advantages: One great track and a lot of fillers
Disadvantages: Only one track that you'll want to listen to too many times

After falling in love with 'No Tomorrow', I was expecting Orson's 'Bright Idea' to be one of the albums of the year. With plenty of great breakthrough albums released this year such as The Automatic's 'Not Accepted Anywhere', The Fratellis 'Costello Music', and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly's 'The Chronicles of a Bohemian Teenager', the question that needs to be asked is - was Orson's 'Bright Idea' one of them? Well, if you've listened to the album before then you've probably already made up your mind about that, however here is what I thought of the album. The first track here is 'Bright Idea'. This is an extremely soulful, laid back track with a chilled out vibe about it, however there's nothing really particularly interesting which takes place over the course of the 4 minutes that the track runs for. It's an inoffensive pop song ...
