There are so many products on the market that all claim they do the same job, kill germs. Killing Germs is a stressful business because it doesn’t matter how much we scrub and how much bleach we use we cant be sure there gone. Certain products assure me the germs have gone but unfortunately this doesn’t.
What is Safeway’s Vecta bleach and what does it do?
Safeway’s haven’t really gone out to see with telling you all the plus points on the packaging this one simply says kills germs fast. Generally bleaches leave (usally used in the loo) whatever you have treated germ free and smelling fresh.
Where can it be used?
I usally use my Vecta in the toilet and for killing ill smells in the drain. Vecta Bleach can be used on lots off different things. I used to use a very watered down Vecta on the leatherette seats of my old van. A very watered down solution is ideal for rubbing down children’s toys especially plastic. Even though it is labelled as Thick strong bleach I don’t find it any stronger or thicker than good quality ordinary bleach.
The bottle and Lid.
The lid has a security lid, which prevents young hands from harming themselves with it. The cap requires a strong hand to open so may pose a problem for those who struggle with there grip.
The Bottle is a large dark blue coloured 2-litre bottle so it’s a good size. This bleach does not have the duck neck type top so you have problems directing the bleach under the rim.
Power.
You can usally tell how powerful a bleach is by its smell. This bleach can kill off some quite bad odours but the worst of the worst should be left to the leading brands.
Vecta usally leaves my loo odourless. After use there is a very faint smell. It leaves the side shining its colour because it’s a clear liquid. The water looks the same as it did before treatment because of the clear colour.
Precautions.
· Do not use on man made fibres e.g. silk or cotton · Take care not to spill this on fabrics or furnishings as damage will occur · Always wipe spillages that may occur and rinse thoroughly with clean water · THIS PRODUCT CANNOT BE USED FOR STERALISING BABY EQUIPTEMENTS WHICH INCLUDEDS TOYS. · Do not use on enamelled or metal baths.
FUNCTION = Bleaching/germ, Killing agents, Cleaning and thickening agents.
Storage.
It is advised to store upright in a dry cool place.
Directions for use.
· The wearing of rubber gloves is recommended.
NEAT TOILETS. Direct around the bowl at night to keep germ free. SINKS AND DRAINS. Use regularly, leave 2-3 minutes in sinks.
DILUTED to bleach whites. Mix 50ml of bleach in 10 litres of cold water. Always add water before adding the clothes. Soak for a short time and then rinse thoroughly use half strength if soaking overnight. Wash hands in clean water after use.

· Contains Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite.
· Do not use with any other products as it may give off dangerous gasses (chlorine)
· Irritating to skin and eyes
· In case of contact with eyes wash out immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Overall.
For a few quid it does the job when times get hard. It’s not a bad performer but not up to the likes of domestos.
