Safeway (Window Cleaner)

Advantages: Less faffing about
Disadvantages: Kids think they're a new toy

...Its taken me a month to actually find any of these wipes. Hubby's been dispatched to Sainsbury's, Mum was sent to Safeway. Asda finally got their act together and got some in stock. I managed to grab the last pack off the shelf on Saturday. I was that shocked at being able to get them I didn't really look at the price or what was on the packet - not good shopping habits I know. I think they were £1.55 for a plastic refill type package. I must have been having a wipe collecting day because I also bought those Flash wipes as well, which I am ashamed to say I haven't christened yet. I duly unpacked the shopping at home, then decided to clean a window just to try them you understand. I picked the worse window to clean which is the bay window in our living room which is about 9ft high and 10ft wide. It used to be all Geogian windows... Read review

Advantages: Non messy cleaner, smells quite nice
Disadvantages: Still leaves occasional smears, particularly if windows are especially dirty.

...I would like to join in this debate on the usefulness or otherwise of Mr Muscle window cleaner by saying that having tried a number of window cleaning products over a number years, Mr Muscle is the best of a bad bunch. Most window cleaners leave smears. The sunnier the room – the worse the problem. I think the best way to clean windows is still soap, water and one of those window gadgets – BUT – its so messy, especially on a cold day. Its difficult to avoid trickles of water dripping everywhere. Its so much easier use Mr Muscle window cleaner to clean the odd window, especially windows such as my patio window. This window doubles up as a back door and receives a lot of mud and bashing around by my husband and the dog. My husband complains that the chemicals in Mr Muscle products are environmentally unfriendly. No further... Read review

...Mr muscle window cleaner is like most of the Mr muscle range which is very good. Mr Muscle Window cleaner cuts the time to clean your windows in half .You can use one cloth .It cuts through greasy marks quickly and I use it on the outside of my windows as well so it saves me £6.00 ish because I dont need to pay a window cleaner. it is also very good on mirrors leaving no streaks and with very little effort mirrors are sparkling clean and do not attract as much dust. It is a little on the dear side but it is well worth the extra cost in time saved.... Read review
