Advantages: Cheap, does what it says it can do Disadvantages: Limited functionality
just required the simplest and cheapest of options I chose the Sagem ITD58G from Argos at the then very reasonable price of just £26.99.
►►► What do you get in the box
Before I get onto the contents, I have to say I am quite impressed with the amount of packaging, as although it comes in the usual cardboard box with polystyrene inserts and a plastic bag around the Sagem ITD58G, they have kept the size to a minimum, cutting down on the amount of wastage. Once you have unpacked the ITD58G, a first time user maybe a little disappointed as although you get the ITD58G, a remote control (with 2 batteries) and a user guide, you do not get any other cables, such as a Scart lead or standard RF lead. Fortunately, having already had a Freeview box, I had already got the necessary leads but sympathise with anyone who purchases ...

Advantages: Compact, lightweight. Disadvantages: Very hard to follow manual.
a huge risk. We are in an area that they claim cannot receive freeview, plus the upstairs Television has an aerial in the loft. But we bought one anyway, and we bought a Sagem ITD58.
We had gone into argos planning to buy another make. Unfortunately it was out of stock. An alternative was given but it was £20 more. So I tried the Sagem which was only £10 more. To my surprise it was in stock (So why did I not get offered that!) and it was reduced to £5 less than the one we had originally chosen. We paid £35 for ours, but the next day the new catalogue came out and it had been reduced by another fiver. Grrrrrr!!!
**The Unit**
The Unit is fairly small compared to others. Measuring just 22cmsx13.5cms x3.5cms and weighing in at only 400g. It is a grey colour which will match most televisions, dvds, videos etc. The remote control is small ...

Freeview is a free digital tv service that you recieve through your aerial which is decoded by a freeview box once you have purchased the box the service is free hence the name Freeview.
With freeview becoming more and more popular you should have no problem picking up a box for under thirty pounds. An important point to note is that you will need to check that you are in an area that can recieve digital tv broadcasts you can do this by visiting
www.freeview.co.uk (if you enter your postcode they will tell you if you can recieve digital tv broadcasts)
You will also need to check that your tv aerial is able to pickup digital tv transmissions(some older aerials are not suitable for recieving these transmissions).
