of the feet fell off at the back. One went bouncing off under a desk never to be seen again and the other is now super-glued to the bottom in the middle. I shudder to think of poor Porsche drivers speeding along the motorway suddenly finding their back wheels have sprung off... and I doubt super-glue would be of use!
The drive has maintained a minimalist look. A tiny orange LED appears when the drive is on, and flickers to show activity. Aside from that there is no indication of the drive's status. At various points around the housing, the "Lacie" logo and "Design by F.A. Porsche" are engraved into the aluminium giving the unit a sort of personalised/prestigious feel. Let's not get carried away here though, it's still a hard disk no matter who designed it and does the same job as your regular unit!

original system, this little Sagem ITD58G delivered near perfect quality, with no flicker and a barely noticeable break up in the picture. Break up in the picture is where it sort of becomes pixelated for a second and then returns to normal, usually caused by interference with the reception.
To be honest the sound quality was okay, and having connected the ITD58G through both a TV and also a stereo system, I can honestly say that it is more than adequate for anyone who is only willing to spend a few quid on their Freeview box.

Advantages: It works fine, looks great and is a good price. Disadvantages: None.
We bought our Porsche-designed LaCie external hard drive around two months ago, essentially to use as a back-up storage device - my other half and I run a graphic design studio so have lots of big files that need to be kept somewhere that's easy access.
Although it's kind of important to us to have something that's good to look at, the most important thing really was price per GB of available back-up space - and this little beauty didn't disappoint! I think we paid around £80 or thereabouts for it which, for an external drive isn't bad anyway, but when it's as well-designed (ie. it looks good and is pretty lightweight too so easy to transport) as this one, I think it's a really good buy.
