...of Earl Grey made in a teapot and I finally started appreciating what a great drink tea could be. Since then I have tasted lots of different varieties and blends from Darjeeling, Lapsnag to Jasmine, but my two favourites remain Earl Grey and Assam.
A LITTLE BACKGROUND
The Assam region, which mean unequal, lies in the foothills of the Himalayas and the first plantation dates back to 1835. In the present day there are almost 1000 plantations employing more than 500,000 people. Assamtea can be bought as a blend or a single estate tea.
