I bought more then 10 times Sainsbury’s Cheese Twists I just had no time to write a review on them. Now as I can’t use my left hand for at least 3 weeks I have time to think over the products I use regularly.

Price and package
-----------------------
As it is Sainsbury’s own brand product you will find them in Sainsbury’s only. I bought a pack of 125 grams for 0.98 pounds. I never had a chance to buy them on offer. When you open the wrapper you will find a plastic tray and about 10-12 cheese twists. I haven’t counted them yet so I just estimate their number.

The cheese twists
----------------------
They smell lovely when you open the wrapper. The twists are light brown coloured and some parts of them are medium brown. I like that they are not burnt to have bitter taste. The burnt cheese has bitter taste. So these are baked perfectly. Some of them are broken. I found that usually one third of them are broken. I don’t really care because we broke them anyway. They are cheese and very crispy. I love them really.

How to use them?
-----------------------
You can prepare them some kind of dip. I suggest sour cream with garlic and salt. Actually we don’t really eat them this way. I prepare cream soups and we put these cheese twists in our plates. I share my garlic ream soup recipe with you. I think this is the quickest soup you can prepare and it is healthy.

Garlic Cream Soup
------------------------
I put 1 litre of water to boil. In the meantime I peel 5 medium sized cloves of garlic. I mix 150ml double cream with one egg yolk. When the water is boiling I drop into it 2 cubes of Oxo chicken stock cubes, then I press the garlic cloves into the water. After the cubes are melted I get out a few spoons of soup and add it to the cream and egg yolk mix. I mix continuously and add as much soup to it to get this mix warm. Then I pour it into the soup. I spice it with salt, nutmeg and white pepper. Ant it’s ready, serve it with cheese twists. This soup is ready in 10 minutes.

Ingredients:
----------------
Wheat Flour, Butter* (27%), Gruyere Cheese* (10%), Skimmed Milk Powder*, Salt, Yeast, Sugar, Barley Malt Flour, * From Cows' Milk.

Nutritional information per 100 g
------------------------------------------
It is quite rich in calories as 100 g of these lovely cheese twists means 499 kcal. It contains 51.1 g of carbohydrate which is dominantly starch. The fat level of the twists is quite high as well, it contains 27% fat.

When we put them into our soup we use half a box for 3 of us. Naturally when you eat it with a dip as a snack you will eat more then 3-4 twists so take care of the calories!

My opinion
---------------
I love to put these cheese twists in my garlic and broccoli cream soups. We rarely eat them as a snack. They are crispy and taste cheese. Its light brown colour makes them really inviting. I recommend you trying them you won’t fail.
