Ever since Sainsbury's sold their mobile arm to Carphone warehouse (usually a decent operation) in 2003 it has been awful. Their administration is completely unreliable, the call handlers are under-trained. My first bill with them was miscalculated (four times higher than normal because they had switched me to the wrong tarriff and 10 months and at least nine calls later I am still waiting for them to recalculate it. It's like reinventing the wheel everytime you call. After 15 minutes of explaining the situation they agree completely, promise you wll be called back within a couple of days and then...nothing. One of them said to me: "this has nothing to do with us, we are not sainsbury's Mobile ,we are Carphone warehouse." I pointed out that the number i had reached him on was on an invoice headed Sainsbury's Mobile and he said it made no difference. I won't bore you with the rest. Sainsburys patently lost interest in operating in this field and the new owners bought their admin software down the market. Suffice to say I will be switching as soon as i can.
