Sainsbury's pure pineapple juice is a decent friut juice for it's price. It comes in a 1 litre Carton that has a plastic flap for easier pouring. The cap is initially sealed with a foil strip to ensure freshness and that no one has tampered with it. It won't have less than 3 months sell by date on so you have plenty of time to drink it. However once opened should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 4 days.

It is advisable to shake the carton well before opening as the contents tend to settle. The carton is easy to pour unlike other brands where you have to cut the corner. The carton is robust enough that one slight squeeze will NOT result in being showered in a torrent of fruit juice, which has happened to me more than one with sainsbury's low price pure orange juice.

Onced poured you will see that it is a nice yellow colour and is cloudy on account of the amount of fruit content. It is quite thick and tastes best straight out of the fridge. Particularly nice with crushed ice.

Pineapple juice is great as it is quite versatile. It is great for cooking e.g. Sweet & Sour Sauce, It makes excellent wine, my husband and I made lovely wine just using a carton of this particular juice, sugar & yeast. It is also great in fruit salad and is an excellent mixer my particular favorite is pineapple juice and Malabu.

Here is just an example of the fun you can have with juice

Pineapple upside down cake

INGREDIENTS

1/2 oz. Baileys irish cream
1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. butterscotch schnapps
1/2 oz. pineapple juice

DIRECTIONS

shake with ice, pour into a shot glass.

This really is a great value product at 69p for a litre. It taste's great it smells nice and it's low in fat. See below.

It is healthy to make sure you have at least 5 portions of fruit a day and 1 glass of this juice is equivalent of one portion of fruit.

My only compalaint is upon opening the fridge and unsecuring the plastic flap from the top of the carton I discovered that the product was empty so I had to get a warm one out of the cupboard :)

I would recomend this product to anyone who likes pineapple.
