I quite like brandy and mostly the cheaper brands that are available in supermarkets are quite drinkable . Sainsbury's Spanish brandy is the exception to prove the rule so instead of sipping and savouring it neat, I thought there must be some other ways of consuming it without actually having to taste it. You can, of course, take it back and get your money back but what the heck, let's not be negative.

Ways to use up Sainsbury's Spanish Brandy:-

1. Use as an alcohol rub. It's not very efficatious but it smells quite nice!

2. Pour some in a saucer and leave in the garden next to your Bizzie Lizzies. Snails have no discerning taste and they just plop in and perish.

3. Pour some on a cloth and use as a glass cleaner. It smells better than vinegar.

4. Mix to a paste with table salt and use as a metal polish. Quite effective.

5. Pour some in a decorative fireproof container and set fire to it . It makes a nice table light if you can keep it in.

6. If you must ingest it, try mixing it with extremely strong coffee, with lots of sugar and topped with double cream.

7. Try cleaning paint brushes with it.

8. After washing your hands rinse them with brandy to kill any lingering bacteria.
