Advantages: Tasty, generous topping & filling, generous walnut portion, reasonably priced Disadvantages: The outside edges of the cake are a little hard
the Sainsbury?s ?Taste The Difference? range. It had been a long time since I?d had any coffee cake, and I hoped Sainsbury?s weren?t going to disappoint me.
The product comes in a deep, square box which is various shades of tan and maroon in colour and it has a little half-moon shaped clear piece so you can see part of the top of the cake without having to open the box. The rear of the packaging shows nutritional information, ingredients list, allergy advice, storage instructions, advice on how to recycle the packaging and Sainsbury?s quality claim together with their contact details. There is also a warning not to give the cake to small children as they can choke on the nuts, plus another warning that the product may occasionally contain small fragments of nut shell.

Mum and me bought some of these in our local branch of Sainsbury's the other week. They normally retail for £1.89 for a box of six, but they are on 'Special Offer' at the moment, and you can ...
Advantages: Subtle zestiness...mmmm cake Disadvantages: Make you fat boooooo
Introduction:
It's not often that I buy myself baked goods, apart from bread. I rarely buy biscuits or pastries. However, if there is a special occasion coming up, or I'm going over a friends house for a proper catch up - I will often take along with me something to nibble on, something that would go nice with a cup of tea. Cake is perfect. In particular, Lemon Drizzle Cake from Sainsburys. It is part of their 'Taste The Difference' range, so is better quality than your average supermarket bought cake.
What is it?:
It is a sponge cake made with Sicilian lemon zest and juice. Mmm zesty. There is a filling of butter icing and more lemon icing drizzled on top - hence the name.

This is what Sainsburys say about their taste the difference range: "Sainsbury's Taste the difference range ...
