Quality Cloths
Advantages cheap!!
Disadvantages -
I don't tend to shop in Sainsburys a lot as it is not convenient for me to get to and also I find them a bit pricier than other supermarkets. However, the odd time I do pop in if I am nearby and need something quick. While in there the other day I came across the basics range which is their equivalent to what Asda have for Smart Price and Tesco with their Value range. I wasn't aware of the Basics range until recently but being quite cheap means savings on certain things. Now for something like these cleaning cloths you don't really want to be paying for a brand and so I grabbed these at the price.
To look at the cloths are simply a big sheet of cloth in the blue and white colour with diamond shapes all over. These clothes are very soft to touch and are very wide but they are thin. I was hoping these would be not bad quality, obviously for the price I wasn't expecting them to be fantastic but obviously just for doing a bit of cleaning and wiping surfaces and sinks etc I just wanted it to be absorbent enough.
To put the cloths to the test, I simply used them when doing the house cleaning at the weekend. I was using them on everything from polishing the tables to wiping kitchen counters and the bath etc. I do think they are absorbent but they do easily soak up products and you can't really use them on too many different things or they just get really dirty and do more mess than cleaning. Once you use them for polishing and dusting then you won't be using them with a spray cleaner on surfaces as it'll mix products and doesn't work as effectively.I do find these cloths to be quite strong though as when cleaning the bath and sinks I was really rubbing away at areas which had a bit of grime and they didn't tear or anything. They do get worn after rubbing away from a while but that is normal of this material and it did wipe away things really well. Being thin though it does make it not so good for cleaning certain things as you do not want it seeping through the cloth while cleaning e.g. food spillages and so on.
I think in terms of a number of cloths I have used these are good for certain cleaning tasks. They can be re-used but I tend to throw them out after using them especially with these being so cheap and 10 being in the pack. When you give these a squeeze after using, all water drains out of them very easily and they are good to use wet or dry which again is always handy. These particular cloths are made from 100% viscose fibre. These cloths are available to buy in all Sainsburys stores. They will be in the household products section and you should easily notice them by the packet being clear. These cost 31p for a packet of 10 which is ridiculously cheap it literally makes them work out at only 3p a cloth roughly which is amazingly good value for money, how could you not buy these instead of other brands out there. These are a stiff competitor to say the least and I will definitely continue to buy these.
If you want more information on Sainsburys whether it be location your nearest store to snap up a pack of these or to find out detail on the cloths then go to http://www.sainsburys.co.uk as they also do home delivery and online shopping.
