Sainsbury's Little Ones I recently got a coupon for money off Sainsbury's Little Ones nappies so I thought I would give them a try. My daughter was a week old so I bought the size one as she was only around 6lbs. **WHAT IS IT** Sainsbury's Little Ones new size one nappies are for newborn babies. You get 24 nappies in a pack and they claim to be super soft on the packaging Also they say they have a gentle touch to protect your baby's delicate skin. They are specially designed to help your baby stay snug and secure. Size one is for babies from 2-5kg (4-11lbs). My baby was 6lbs 7oz when she was ... more

Advantages Advantages Very cheap. Tabs stick very well.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Odd plasticky feel. Tabs can stick too well - no adjusting allowed!

We usually use cloth nappies, but sometimes when we're traveling, disposables are more practical (there's a limit to how many times you want to carry a bucket of poo up the A1!). We tried these because although we use very few disposable nappies on our son, we were deeply irritated at spending lots of money on something that was going to be filled with poo and then thrown away... These come in a pack of 20, in the usual orange and white "Basics" packaging. They are called "Junior" nappies, and fit babies between 11 and 21 kg or 24 - 46 lbs. The packaging is perforated on one side so you can ... more

Advantages Advantages Cheap, great feel, keep baby dry

Disadvantages Disadvantages To be honest i can't find one!!!

Ive had 2 children with my first i went out at 7 months pregnant and bought up half of mothercares huggies stock in new baby size, needless to say i didnt use over half of them lol. But even if my son had not of grown out of them i would of went out and got a different brand nappy as i dont rate huggies at all there size range is rubbish to be frank and the sticky tabs fall off and they tend to leak and we dont want that, but this review is not about huggies so i will stop there. I then went onto pampers and i cannot find fault with them really, they are great, great look, great feel and they ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very very cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages Just look a bit plasticy but they didn't feel plasticy

I was a bit low on funds and thought I'd give these nappies a go. You can't help but feel embaressed at the checkout to have to choose such a basic/cheap product especially for your baby, but I most certainley won't be feeling embaressed for choosing this product again. In fact it will be a pleasure. The nappies cost me just 1.48 and this was for 20 nappies, which is a really good deal. I chose Size 5 for my 18 month old boy, which fits 11-25kg/24-55lb toddlers. I couldn't see any other sizes available on the shelf or I would have chose size 4 or 4+, but these were absolutley fine anyway I ... more

    Advantages Advantages Best own brand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Limited Sizes

This is a review of Sainsbury's Basics Nappies. The size I have been using is size 4, which are for babies of 7 - 18kg (or 15 - 40lbs). You get 20 nappies in a pack, and they retail at £1.80. Usually, own brand nappies are nothing but a false economy, as typically you will end up having to do more nappy changes and going through more nappies than usual, as they are liable to leakage (yuck!) and are less absorbant and the sticky fastening tapes are not so sticky are you would have liked. These nappies are an exception to that! These own brand nappies are the best by far, I would even say they ... more
