In recent years I have seen a decline in any pleasure (all be it little to start with cos I hate shopping at the best of times) derived from the experience in my local Sainsbury. Do Me a Favour Review ofSainsburys [TV Advertisement]by

Advantages: See review Disadvantages: See review
The latest advertising campaign employed by Sainsbury's is the latest in a long line of attempts by the Company to market their status, and their standards. This is achieved through the use of "lifestyle advertising". In this way, we are confronted with images of ideal lifestyles, in the belief that we will be so keen to be "just like that" that we will rush out and buy the goods.
The current batch are an improbable marriage between Jamie Oliver, ... ...and premium prepared foods. Jamie Oliver has quite clearly been specifically targeted, due to his appeal across all age groups, and his current trendy status amongst the television cooking elite. The adverts, quite skillfully shot, are set in Oliver's home, as a means of reinforcing the notion that what we are seeing is a snippet of Oliver's daily life, rather than a scripted piece set in a film studio.
One of these adverts is a starting block for ...

Advantages: convient location Disadvantages: more expensive than Waitrose
I normally find Sainsbury's price are reasonable and cheaper than Waitrose. And I love their latest advert with Jamie Oliver!!
But I am very disappointed today as I have discover 2 things from my local store.
1. I saw this really good offer buy one get one free for Organic kiwi
So I bought two and of course it did not show at the till. So I have to ask the cashier isn't 2 for the price of 1? and wait for a long time to confirm.
If I overlooked, ... ...bottle of Jacob Creek red wine I like and I buy them from Sainsbury's every now and then
To my surprise , I actually found out today that Waitrose is selling them a pound cheaper!! And this is not special offer or voucher . It's just Sainsbury's way of overcharging customer!!
Have to say now I'll think again whether to go and shop in Sainsbury's again or not. ...

Advantages: lots of choice Disadvantages: some products are a bit pricey
I ventured into Sainsbury's today as their cans of stella lager are still on offer at £13.49 for 24x330ml bottles, which is £10 off their normal price.
As I was there, I bought a few other items and as I was browsing for a Birthday Card, I noticed that since I last went in (before Christmas) they have got a range of very interesting items.
They had a shelf full of unusual things like basic ingredients to bake indian pastries, lots of salt free ... ...They are infact all the types of foods for gluten/whey/salt/wheat free diets that you normally find in places like Holland and Barrett and Drop in the Ocean. This range is over and above the normal products that I have seen in the past. They also had a range of homeopathic creams for ailments ranging from piles to chapped skin. Incidentally, I used the Hypercal cream in this range for kind of cuts or spots/rashes. They are completely natural and ...

Advantages: Promotes the latest Sainsbury's range Disadvantages: Maybe promotes Jamie Oliver more
The Sainsbury's ads running at the moment have enlightened me in more ways than one.
Firstly, i did not have a clue who Jamie Oliver was before them. Yes, i had heard of the Naked Chef and yes, i had heard briefly of Jamie Oliver but i had not made the link between the two.
And secondly, as soon as i see an ad with him in it, i watch to see which product Sainsbury's is now promoting.
The ad for goats cheese mozarella sticks in my mind. Jamie Oliver ... ...back with them because they think they will not be able to get it in the UK, then pull up at traffic lights alongside a great big Sainsbury's poster advertising no less than the goats cheese mozarella itself! (i don't think i do the ad justice in my discription but you get the idea...the irony of finding on your own doorstep what you have gone miles out of your way to get.)
My other fave ad is the one in which Jamie is talking on the phone to someone, ...
