This game is super if you really like to get into your games. There are main missions, strongholds, activities and diversions. You must complete main missions and strongholds but activities and diversions are optional but they will add to your respect meter(You must have +1 respect or you will NOT be able to start any missions) Strongholds are small missions(I guess you could call them that) where you fight to keep a piece of area you have claimed to stay yours, pretty simple really and doesn't require much effort. By completing activities you can earn things like 10% off at all clothing, less damage taken when hit by a car and less damage taken when shot.....So it is obviously well worth completing any activities you can! These activities include: Snatch- which is when you have to 'snatch' other gangs and other pimps prostitutes to use at other brothels that I can only guess you own, Hitman- Is a activity where you will need to kill certain people on the hitlist the list will tell you where the person is likely to be found and what they look like, and Mayhem- Which requires you to go absolutely beserk and destroy anything in sight...This may be people, cars, trash or billboards. These are just a few of the activities but really you must buy it to know fully what adventures await ^_^.
Diversions just seem to be little things you can do to pass time and earn some extra cash. These diversions include: streaking and flashing both of which I highly recommend doing! I only found out about these recently and had a great laugh completeing them! They are very easy but still really funny!
When you start the game you are introduced into a character customization where you can choose whether your character is male or female, fat or thin, gorgeous or ugly and even what type of hair they have and how they walk! Please note this can be changed if you visit a plastic surgeon on the game but a charge will be incurred! You also get the chance to decide how your gang should give compliments and taunts, what they wear and the cars they drive. Throughout the game you will come across shops where you can choose what your character wears, MOST of this clothing can be customised(Cars can also be customised). You also have the choice of having piercings and tattoos!
Gameplay I feel is pretty simple, I have been told otherwise by people but Saints Row 2 seems to be my current strength! Controls are super easy to get accustomed to, they are exactly the same as they are on the XBOX 360 version.Throughout the game you will have opportunitys to buy shops and housing, Shops will bring in a steady stream of money and housing is a way of increasing your rescpect meter AND of course another place to hide out!
Once all missions have been completed you can find a secret mission by going into the police station and listening to wire taps you will then be sent to the old church and a huge battle ensues! That is the end of all the main missions :-(
I hope this helps you decide whether you want to buy this game or not! I will more than happily add more about the smaller things in the game if people wish!
Advantages: Planes and Helicopters; Cruise Control, Customisation Disadvantages: Graphics
...of a former 3rd Street Saints gangster who has just awoken from a coma. Your mission is to re-take the territory previously run, which is currently under control from three other gangs. The comparisons with GTA are obvious and if you just walked into a demonstration of the game you would think you were looking at the new GTA. It is mostly like San Andreas, where your main aim is to take over different hoods and defend them. A good point to the game ... ...your cribs, your cars or your gang. The graphics aren't nearly as good as GTA4, but aren't terrible either. The gameplay is basically the same, as is the layout of maps, menus, etc. One of the things I oike about the game is cars and boats have cruise control, so when you are playing missions invlolving chasing after and blowing up another vehicle it makes it less akward. Another small detail that I liked is that both different types of helicopters ...

Advantages: Fun, Crazy and a Little bit strange Disadvantages: Graphics not what they could have been
...I hadn't played the first Saints Row so had nothing to compare it to but was pleasantly surprised. There is a massive amount for players to get up to in their spare time from becoming a hitman, star of a "C.O.P.S" style tv show, joining fight club and so much more. There are almost limitless ways to get around the city from cars, bikes, helicopters, UFO's, planes, boats and anything else you can find. The amount of weapons available is something ... ...use anything or why not simply throw your enemies in front of a car or train?
I will be honest here and say the driving wasn't as good as I'd hoped when I bought it and it seemed like a big drawback, however after playing it for a while I found it starts to become a bonus. The driving seems to help when you need to get from A to B quickly, it's not realistic and sometimes feels lifeless but when on a mission it comes in handy, and the cruise control ...

Advantages: Gameplay never gets boring Disadvantages: none so far
Few games manage to live up to the hype we put on them, but this does. Im only about a fifth way through the game so i cant comment on longevity but after doing 8 missions i have 5 hours gameplay. The customization is unbelievable, you can do pretty much anything. Everything down to the last detail. I spent about 1 hour and 10 minutes creating my player at the beggining ( they get round it by saying that because you got so badly burnt at the end ... ...and so you can recustomize how you look). You can choose to be a boy or a girl in this one too. This game is what GTA IV should have been. Fun. Its funny, its entertaining, it will last you ages because the best thing about this gameplay is its so deep and exte4nsive that you wont get bored. Graphics are really good, not amazing, but graphics wasnt what they focused on this time, they went for gameplay. And they delivered. I will probably add more ...

Saints Row 2 brings true freedom to open-world gaming. Players can play as who they want, how they want, and with whomever they want in this sequel to the much acclaimed and tremendously successful Saints Row. Set years after the original, the player finds himself in a Stilwater both familiar and strange and challenged with bringing the Saints back as the rightful kings of Stilwater and bringing vengeance to those who wronged him.
