Fantastic 360/PC Pad!

Advantages: Great layout, comfortable and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Confusing marketing, crappy D-pad. (wires)

Refinement: The Xbox 360 wired controller is a refined version of the original Xbox controller S. Taking design hints from the Gamecube controller it was smaller and more ergonomic than the original black brick that was the original design, making it more appealing to a Japanese audience, the pad was so well received they brought it over to the US and Europe. Looks: The Xbox 360 wired controller is a stylish white with a grey band on the underside of the controller. The face buttons are green, red, yellow and blue matching that of the original Xbox design. There is a metallic Xbox button surrounded by a green glowing ring of light in the centre of the controller, which has four quadrants one of which lights up depending on your player number. Second Pad

Advantages: fits nicley in your hands, good battery life, good button layout
Disadvantages: its white, if you have kids get them to wash their hands!!

I have 2 of these, one came with the console and i got the next a week later so i could play with friends. the best thing about them is the lack of wires it makes so much difference especially if you have kids and dogs like me!!! they function by using a wireless signal (similar to that used by laptops to access the internet) and there is no delay between pressing the button and getting a response on screen. They can run of either normal AA batteries which if you buy decent ones last a week or so with regular playing, or you can purchase a battery and charge pack separately this saves money in the long run and means that you will never have to scramble around for a set of batteries when it goes dead, you can just plug it in to one of the USB ports and carry on playing!!! The controllers are fairly robust with mine having ...

Great Wireless pad

Advantages: Wireless, dont have to get up to turn on/off console
Disadvantages: Runs on battteries so you need a plug and charge kit really

Ever since getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was 9 years old I've had a bit of a obsession with consoles and gaming. Having gone through a massive list of different machines and accessories over the years (such as the SNES, Megadrive, Mega CD, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2 and more) I've used many different controllers of different shapes and sizes. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller is one of the top controllers I have ever used. Coming in a white and grey design with coloured buttons, the wireless feature is a priceless addition to gaming. No more people tripping over wires and yanking your console from the stand, no more spending time unraveling knots before packing your console away to take elsewhere, add to that the feature you can turn your 360 on or off just with the press ...
