I first used this product around 4 weeks ago as my nails were desperately needing some TLC. After trying several nail care products over the years which promised to keep my nails strong but failed dismally, I thought I'd fork out the £8-95 and give this one a bash.
My nails were really short (I must confess.....I can be a bit of a nail biter at times!!) so I was really starting from scratch. I cleaned my nails then applied two consecutive coats of DIAMOND STRENGTH PREMIUM NAIL HARDENER allowing drying time between coats. You can notice straight away how much stronger your nails feels. As I'd bitten mine to a short length!....it took about a week and a half to really see the benefits but as my nails grew, they were not just a 'little' bit stronger but really 'seriously' strong.I generally tend to remove the DIAMOND STRENGTH every couple of days, file my nails then reapply. Filing your nails also helps to make them stronger but you must file in one direction from edge to centre then from opposite edge to centre....in other words...no sawing motions! Also, do NOT use a metal nail file as it's very rough for your nails. I've used a glass file but I prefer a good large-sized emery board and I use the gentle side as I find it's abrasive enough to do the job.
I am amazed at how good this product is and I will continue to use it now that I know how wonderfully effective it is. I always manage to chip or break my nails at work no matter which nail product I wear.....BUT.. in the four weeks since I've been using this, I haven't chipped or broken one. I also haven't bitten my nails as they're too hard to bite!! .....but also because they look too good now.I LOVE THIS PRODUCT....IT'S DEFINATELY THE BEST NAIL STRENGTHENING PRODUCT I'VE EVER USED AND I CANNOT SING ITS PRAISES HIGHLY ENOUGH. I'D HAVE NO HESITATION IN RECOMMENDING THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS MAINTAINING THEIR NAILS.
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Nail Hardener can be purchased from Boots, Bodycare and Savers for £8-95. It is most likely available at plenty of other stores but I'm not sure which ones.
