Well after that provocative ad I certainly did!
No, on a serious note I was very curious about the new take on a British favourite. It appears as though every company is reinventing their best sellers with new recipes combined with the latest superfoods - 'rich in Omega 3' unheard of 10 years ago is now the staple of product innovation.Never being a great fan of Salmon in the past I was unsure (despite the curiousity) of whether this would be a positive review or not but I was pleasently surprised. The smell is a lot stronger than the usual white cod and as a result the flavour is more intense. Its 'pink' parts were extremely moist and fluffy and eating it was a pleasure.
A Pink Pish Finger Sandwich? - the ultimate challenge, beating the students favourite of a fish finger sandwich! I prefere mine to consist of two white slices of bread, thick coating of butter and four fish fingers mmmmm. Well, I usually put a little vinegar on too but I didnt feel as though I could with salmon so i ate it without. It was good, but it just wasnt the same - I then tried it with a little vinegar, it was nicer but it was still not how I remembered. I think it was nostalgia preventing me from enjoying it as much as possible - but it was still a good sandwich.So to summerise I would say it was a nice alternative but if a Fish Finger Sandwich is what your after - stick with the white and avoid the pink!
