I, like most of us, have experienced the feeling of dread that comes with weighing yourself after the post xmas blowout. I decided that i would join an online dieting club to try to lose the xmas excess (as will as the pre xmas stuff!). I have bought myself a brand new set of Salter scales in the vain hope that a new set will bring me luck this year!
I bought the scales from Homebase - a home improvements store with branches nationwide- for £9.99 which is quite reasonable as the Salter brand is reknowned in the weighing world as being one of the most accurate.
These are mechanical scales so i thought that maybe they would not be as accurate as electronic ones,but finances dictated that these were all i could afford at the time. Salter do a wide range of mechanical and electronic scales to suit every budget and these were the 2nd ...
Advantages: Easy start Disadvantages: Failure to "pick up" all the cut grass
I read several reviews after deciding i needed a new mower, my "Hayter" had worn out after 11 yrs . one of the big faults with this machine was its inability to pick up all the cut grass , some cuttings were "thrown out " side ways rather than into the collector. Having looked at several reports prices, makes,the best machine for my requirment i opted for the Lawn King R484 BS. The instruction were very good though i would question if they would be for someone who was not mechinacly
minded i am a mechanic/engineer so it was not difficult for me.
I have found this machine very dissapointing while it cuts ok i still have a problem with failure to pick up and clear all the cut grass again throwing the cut grass sideways. the chute seems to "fill up" easily i spent as long raking up the cut grass as i did mowing it ...

I do love gadgets and I also love a bargain so, when I spotted the Salter 9117 Bodywise scales on offer at half price, it was more than I could resist so I placed an order for them. I bought mine from Boots online for £24.99 instead of the list price of of £49.99 - to be honest I doubt I would have bought them at the full price.
These scales offer more than just gving you details of how much you weigh which was what attracted me to them. They measure a whole range of other things to tell you your body composition. In addition they are very smart in appearance being stainless steel for the most part with a black surround to the electronic display. Many scales with body analysis just have stainless steel pads but personally I prefer the appearance of these.
Salter have a long history of manufacturing good quality weighing ...
