Advantages: looks nice in your bathroom Disadvantages: needs calibrating regularly
I, like most of us, have experienced the feeling of dread that comes with weighing yourself after the post xmas blowout. I decided that i would join an online dieting club to try to lose the xmas excess (as will as the pre xmas stuff!). I have bought myself a brand new set of Salter scales in the vain hope that a new set will bring me luck this year!
I bought the scales from Homebase - a home improvements store with branches nationwide- for £9.99 which is quite reasonable as the Salter brand is reknowned in the weighing world as being one of the most accurate.
These are mechanical scales so i thought that maybe they would not be as accurate as electronic ones, but finances dictated that these were all i could afford at the time. Salter do a wide range of mechanical and electronic scales to suit every budget and these were the 2nd ...
Advantages: Gives you a detailed analysis of your body composition Disadvantages: You need to do a little reading before the results mean anything

Many scales with body analysis just have stainless steel pads but personally I prefer the appearance of these.
Salter have a long history of manufacturing good quality weighing ...

Advantages: Easy to use, superb design and easy to store away. Disadvantages: Display panel is a little dark.

I really like the look and design of this Salter scale. The scale consists of a circular stainless steel platform set in a shiny black plastic surround (The image shows a white one). I guess the purpose of the steel disc is for weighing wet food directly without a container. The whole unit measures 16x18cm and stands about 2 cm high. It is quite heavy at roughly 800g. The scale rests firmly secure to the kitchen table top on account of 6 small rubber feet that stop it from sliding over smooth surfaces. Its simple shape makes it easy to store and it takes up very little room. However, the scale looks so good and stylish I don?t want to put it ...
