We have owned our Salter 9020 scales for a few years and they have been good value for money. They are reliable and accurate and cost less than £15 as new. We keep our scales in our small bathroom as there is a linoleum floor in there and I personally feel this makes the readings the scales give me more accurate than if they are placed on a carpeted floor.
I like the design of these scales. They have grey and black footplates and give a digital readout. I also like them because, unlike the previous scales we had, these have a really spacious platform on which to stand. They are also easy to transport due to the fact that they have a useful carrying handle, which is built into the actual design of the scales and even a hook for hanging on a wall if we want to store them out of the way.Salter is a reputable brand and this is demonstrated, I feel, by the fact that the manufacture has given these scales a full ten-year guarantee. The LCD display is really easy to read and is approximately 3.5cm x 1.3cm in size. They will take a maximum weight of 160kg (which is 25 stones or 350lbs).
I also think that despite being used on an almost daily basis, the battery (lithium) is long lasting and there is no need to have to change too often. They are aesthetically pleasing and have proved to be very accurate and really reliable over the time we have had them.I highly recommend these Salter scales.
