...I, like most of us, have experienced the feeling of dread that comes with weighing yourself after the post xmas blowout. I decided that i would join an online dieting club to try to lose the xmas excess (as will as the pre xmas stuff!). I have bought myself a brand new set of Salter scales in the vain hope that a new set will bring me luck this year! I bought the scales from Homebase - a home improvements store with branches nationwide- for £9.99 which is quite reasonable as the Salter brand is reknowned in the weighing world as being one of the most accurate. These are mechanical scales so i thought that maybe they would not be as accurate as electronic ones,but finances dictated that these were all i could afford at the time. Advantages: doesn't leak and lots of steam

...After a few years service from my Philips iron I decided that it was time for a new iron. I based my decision on price and functionality and the Tefal FV9130 seemed too good to be true when I found it for £35 on Amazon. I was particularly proud of myself because the rrp stated on the Tefal website was around £80. When I finally received the iron I tried and tested and came to the conclusion that albeit for the large rrp it was no different to my old Philips. The iron was stated to have a new unique ultra glide soleplate which in my opinion isn't really that special. Furthermore the iron feels very cheap. Now in my opinion this iron is good value for money when you pay the cheap price of £35 but to pay around £80 would be totally ridiculous. ...I do love gadgets and I also love a bargain so, when I spotted the Salter 9117 Bodywise scales on offer at half price, it was more than I could resist so I placed an order for them. I bought mine from Boots online for £24.99 instead of the list price of of £49.99 - to be honest I doubt I would have bought them at the full price. These scales offer more than just gving you details of how much you weigh which was what attracted me to them. They measure a whole range of other things to tell you your body composition. In addition they are very smart in appearance being stainless steel for the most part with a black surround to the electronic display. Many scales with body analysis just have stainless steel pads but personally I prefer the appearance of these. Salter have a long history of manufacturing good quality weighing... Read review
