Advantages: Easy to use, superb design and easy to store away. Disadvantages: Display panel is a little dark.
This is a stylish compact electronic scale designed for use in kitchens where it can weigh food ingredients of up to 5 kg. I actually bought it to weigh postage items and it works fine for this.
I really like the look and design of this Salterscale. The scale consists of a circular stainless steel platform set in a shiny black plastic surround (The image shows a white one). I guess the purpose of the steel disc is for weighing wet food directly without a container. The whole unit measures 16x18cm and stands about 2 cm high. It is quite heavy at roughly 800g. The scale rests firmly secure to the kitchen table top on account of 6 small rubber feet that stop it from sliding over smooth surfaces. Its simple shape makes it easy to store and it takes up very little room. However, the scale looks so good and stylish I don?t want to put it ...
Advantages: cleans well, makes light work of dirt, CHEAP Disadvantages: Leaves a smell on hands after use
When I got to the checkout on my last shopping trip I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to get my usual multi purpose wipes so asked hubby to go and grab a packet. Now I have been using the same brand for a very long time but for some reason hubby could not remember which ones they were and came back with these ones. I did let him off though as I did need them for the bathroom and decided I would try these instead.
~~THE PACKET~~
The wipes come in a flat packet which is very similar to a packet of baby wipes. It is blue in colour and has the product name at the top with a picture of a shiny bathroom and under this is a red rectangle which contains the claims that these wipes will remove soap scum and control the build up of lime scale. The back of the packet has a white rectangle down the left hand side which has all ...
These are a plain white set of electronic scales bought from ASDA for £10, which considering they have a 15 year guarantee seems to me to be pretty good value.
they are pretty thin, less than an inch and a half thick, the scales wiegh around 2lb (there is no techie info with them) and can weigh up to 23 stone (not that I need that) and can weigh in stones and lb's (and ounces), lb's only or KG. All of which show on an electronic display. To switch between display modes is simply a black plastic switch on the underside.
The operation of these scales is a little different to other scales I have used, where instead of just stepping on, one has to 'tap' the scales first as vibration activates them, wait 3 seconds then step on, once the weight is displayed the display remains for 15 seconds.
There is a very helpful instruction sheet ...
