The Samson Zoom Q3 is one of the very first recording machines from the Zoom range that features an in built video recording facility. I like the microphone that is very small and can be found at the top of the machine. The design of the machine is smart and modern. The LCD screen is handy because it informs you how much memory the Q3 has left and what you are recording. I've found this is a really helpful feature.

Zoom is great for bringing unrivaled stereo sound to all of your videos with the Q3 Handy video recorder. The audio technology is really good and blends HD video allowing you to film each moment with perfect clarity and resolution.

It is really simple, quick and fun to film great videos. You just need to choose 720p or 1080p to capture clear images with lot's of detail. There are also two standard definition formats when you're wanting a smaller file size.

The video is clean and the Q3HD has a new lens and imaging sensor. With a large aperture, it allows more light into the videos. It also features a 4x digital zoom allowing you to get closer to the focus. This is perfect when watching a concert and trying to film the celebrity.

All you do is turn the device sideways and press play. You can watch your videos anywhere you are and it has widescreen colour LCD screen and clear, built-in speaker. Therefore, you can watch your video back once it is recorded. If you want to make changes, then this is possible.

There are three different light settings. However, it could really do with more than that because it is difficult filming when there are poor lighting conditions. For the majority of situations, choosing Audio will provide the best results. Concert Lighting is the ideal choice for concerts and automatically adjusts for fast changes when the stage is dark.

The device has two on board high quality condenser microphones that are set up in a wide 120° X/Y pattern. With audio meters it's possible to monitor and set levels very quickly. The Q3HD's built in USB cable allows you to download films to you PC for editing and sharing. There is also a new file divide function that allows you to edit your film on the actual unit.

There is added HandyShare software that helps you edit films. Effects can be added to the clip that make it sound clearer and better. There is also advanced software like iMovie or Final Cut that can be used for further edits, effects and titles. HandyShare is excellent for YouTube.

This device is really simple to use and convenient also. I am very happy with my purchase of the Q3HD. I've watched many of the videos, I've recorded on my HD television.
