Samsung BD-P1500

I've currently had this blu ray player for a few months now, and have not had a single problem with it. It plays all the Blu Ray dvds i own, and normal dvd's without a problem!
I have even compared the difference in quality from blu ray dvds and normal dvds at the same time, tried it with 'I am Legend'. You can instantly see the difference in the picture quality, things look sharper and colours are more bolder.
The thing with blu ray is, there is just no point in getting one if you dont have a good tv! It has to have HD, be flat screen and atleast 28"+.

The disc types that can't be played on this player are:

• Blu-ray discs with a region code other that 'region B' (as this is a region B player)
• DVD-RW(VR mode)
• HD DVD
• DVD Video with a region code number other than '2' or 'ALL'
• DVD-RAM
• 3.9 GB DVD-R disc for Authoring
• DVD-ROM/PD/MV-Disc, etc
• CVD/CD-ROM/CDV/CD-I/LD

Overall, this player is good value for money and very easy to use. My favorite thing is annoying the neighbours when it starts up! Its makes a very loud and sharp noise that goes "ding ding!" and the Samsung logo comes up on the screen. I got mine from Currys and it came with 2 free Blu-ray dvds, so thats a bonus!
