We also wanted a multi-function printer, to replace the multi-function inkjet printer that we had. If it could have a fax as well, then all well and good.
Well, it is a copier, printer, scanner. It prints in black and colour. It prints up to 16 pages per minute in black and up to 4 ppm in colour.

The machine also has a One-click ID copy function which means that both sides of a business card or ID card can be copied on a single sheet of paper without the need to refeed.
You can also print directly from an external USB memory device without having to switch your computer on.
TONER SUPPLIES
The toner bottles are easy to insert, you just open the front cover and pull out the old one and insert the new one. The toners can be purchased separately, at a cost of around £30 for a black one, and £26 for the coloured ones, costing £108 for the full set.
You can purchase a set of all toners together for a discount, costing £95 at Viking Direct.
According to Samsung you can print 1000 colour copies and 2000 black copies on each set of toners.
One thing that caught us by surprise was the "waste toner bottle". The printer suddenly stopped working and gave us a message that the waste toner bottle was full. We had no idea what this was or where it was, so looked at the online manual and discovered it was at the front of the machine and it collects waste toner, so as to keep your printer clean and functioning.
Unfortunately the printer would not work until it had a new bottle, so we had to drive to our local town, 20 miles away to buy one for £7.49 or else wait 3-5 days for one to arrive in the post. As I was in the middle of doing my husbands VAT return and needed the printer, we had to go buy one.
Yes it is. You instal 1 cd to instal the printer to your computer. If you want to copy something, there are 2 buttons, 1 for black copy, 1 for colour copy.
If you want to scan, you simply place the item on the scanner bed, then press a button "Scan to", and then select application and My Documents. Simple as that.
Scanned items appear in a folder called Samsung in My Pictures, so are easy to find and use.
The quality of the printing is great.
WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER?
Yes I would, Its our second Samsung laser printer. They are cheap and cheerful, do the job and dont take up much space. We managed to get rid of two printers and replace it with this one. It doesnt have a fax, but you cant have everything. Well, not at that price anyway!
We paid £155 for this, including VAT, at Ebuyer, with free delivery. As we can claim back the VAT for my husbands busines,, this printer cost us only £132.
We had been about to spend £250 on flyers for the business, but now we have a colour laser printer, we can publish our own, at a lot less cost and have the printer to use for other things as well.
