The main features are really simple to use, just turn the camera on, put the settings ... ...& click camera, although for the enthusiast there's a whole host of features you can play with to add those tiny tweaks that can make a photo perfect. (Although to be perfectly honest for the vast majority of my uses the auto mode does more than enough.) Uses standard SD Memory (tested up to 1GB.)

Boasting a massive 7MP the pictures taken by this camera are stunning, combined with a suitable photo printer you'll never use film again! The main features are really simple to use, just turn the camera on, put the settings dial to auto and you have a pretty appealing point & click camera, although for the enthusiast there's a whole host of features you can play with to add those tiny tweaks that can make a photo perfect. (Although to be perfectly honest for the vast majority of my uses the auto mode does more than enough.) Uses standard SD Memory (tested up to 1GB.)
Quality:
First off the build quality really does feel solid, the camera itself isn't the smallest of camera's out there but then again it's hardly a lump in your pocket. It's also a small weight but nothing more than having a large phone or so. It looks like it can take a knock or two although to be on the safe side I recommend getting a carry case for it, the official Digimax accessory pack supplies a nice one with a charger and batteries. The picture quality obviously depends on the settings you have, at 7MP with a 1GB card installed you can take approximately 480 pictures, obviously if you wish to drop down to lower resolutions you can take far more pictures at the small sacrifice of quality.
Features:
The flash feature is adequate, there's several modes for the flash, in really low lighting situations the camera will recognise this and flash twice, once to provide general ambience then again to flash for the photo, obviously this changes to 1 or no flashes depending on the lighting. (You can also edit these settings in various modes.) The zoom feature isn't the best in the market although it does the job well. One of the things that makes this camera different is that it has both the usual LCD screen and also a viewfinder, perfect for when it's too sunny to see the LCD!!! There's also a whole host of other features you can alter via the various menus such as shutter speeds, ISO settings, colour balancing etc.
It also features a video recording mode with various resolutions, once more the higher the resolution the better quality at the sacrifice of recording time. Bear in mind it's NOT a camcorder so the video mode won't be your main use, however it is only limited to the amount of memory you have left. Furthermore there's an audio recording mode that you can use, it can save 10 seconds of audio related to a picture or once again the dedicated feature is only limited to available memory.
Batteries:
The camera comes with two Duracell Ultra+, to be honest alkaline batteries aren't the way to go with this camera as I managed to drain them within two hours. However pick up some 2300+ Ni-Mh batteries and you're looking at HOURS of shots, I took around 240 pictures over several days with a single charge of these batteries!
Connectivity:
Connecting the camera to your PC to remove the pictures is simple and hassle free, simply install the relative software (provided on CD) and use as any normal USB drive. There's also specialist Digimax software you can use to connect and organise images and furthermore the camera features PictBridge, meaning you can connect it directly to any PictBridge printer directly. There's also the option of removing the memory card of course and using a card reader although this can obviously damage the card.
Overall this is a simple to use yet versatile camera with all the features amateurs or simply average users would want with a few extras for the enthusiast thrown in for good measure!
(Also to point out that this is only ONLY £114.99 at Argos, down from £329.99!!!)
Advantages: Image quality is great, stable with tripod. Screen. Optical zoom. PRICE! Disadvantages: Can't focus on low light. Bit bulky. Standard battery life.
The Samsung A7 is a nice Digital camera, perhaps even though it may be considered bulky by today's standards. It's just the right sizeto fit in your pocket but nothing else. It's pretty weighty also. But if your the kind of person who wants to take quality pictures while inside/gardens/small trips then this is a great choice of camera. The size of the image this camera takes is great I could produce good enough images to use on A3 project paper!
... ...unless your planning just to leave it on auto mode and use it in the sun mostly. It's very bad at picking up dark light which is my worst hate for this camera but it looks great and works a treat!
Good optical zoom and the screen is very nice. The image quality is great with the conditions correct!
Don't forget the price of this camera now is very very cheap. I brought mine for around 120 pounds from Argos about 1-2 years ago. Think of the price ...

...£114.99, I also got the Samsung printer for £44.99 and an additional memory card, all for £179.97. Unfortunately the accessory kit that includes the battery charger was out of stock, otherwise I would have had that as well !. This was my first 'serious' digital camera, and it was the price that finally persuaded me to purchase. The camera is very tough and durable, and solidly built. It is a bit heavy for a digital camera in my opinion though, but ... ...is superb compared to my old Kodak DX3215 and the LCD screen is crystal clear even in bright sunlight. There are plenty of features to satisfy my tendency to play around with the settings, but to be honest the 'auto' setting does a great job for you. It may not be as 'cool' as some of the major brands, but it is plenty good enough for what we use it for - a high quality point and shoot camera for everyday use. Advantages: good icture quality, many settings and good versatility Disadvantages: High MSRP for a camera packaged with garbage batteries and a loose lense.
This camera was bought at XS cargo for 100 dollars at a time when it was 300 at futureshop. First it is a good camera, the pictures come out crisp, it is kind on batteries and it takes pictures in a variety of conditions has a dual picture mode where it takes two pictures and layers them, works in black and white chrome normal and RGB color settings, has a 2 and 10 second timer, has digital and optical zoom, is light and easy to use with all buttons ... ...had loose lense appratures, so if someone was rough with it while it was on it would break. I cannot be sure it was something that is wrong with all but the four I had were the same. The rechargeables sold with it are garbage lasting ten photos.
If this camera is found at a liquidations tore scoop it up otherwise don't. ...

...Unlike some digital cameras, the samsung DIGIMAX A7 is extremely easy to use first time and has no confusing buttons which i do not no what they do.
There is a digital and optical zoom, which does not affect the quality of the picture even if you zoom in fully. There was a special setting for sunrise, fireworks, snow and so many other so it made it easy to take a beautiful picture!
I would really reccomend buying this camera over any other digital ...

this camera is fantastic value for money. it is,i believe , only availiable at argos. i got it for £164 in the half price sale . it is a 7 megapixel camera and has a 2 inch screen on the back. The instruction manual can be a bit daunting on first glance, but dont worry, the camera is only as complicated as you want it to be . if you just want to point and shoot, there is an auto mode which takes care of everything. alternatively, there is a dial ... .... as with all digital cameras the screen on the back of the camera will drain the batteries in no time . this camera has an option to use a manual viewfinder enabling you to switch the screen off . the camera also has a video mode with sound, although i doubt whether this would be used much by many owners . i loaded my camera with a 256 sd card which ,in standard settings , is good for 250 photos . Bad things then.... well to be honest not much . ...
