I am a middle-aged housewife who enjoys surfing the net and completing on-line surveys. I like reading reviews of products before I buy. I love a bargain and spend hours searching for the best deal on-line.

Our old video recorder was on its last legs, it was chewing up the tapes and whenever I set the timer to record anything it was hit and miss as to whether it would record. So I decided to buy this DVD recorder (much to my husbands delight). It is the best thing I ever did. It is so simple to use. My husband connected it up to the TV and Freeview box in minutes. It auto tuned all the TV stations and has very easy to follow on-screen menus. Right away I was recording to the Hard Disk Drive and playing it back. Then we put in a DVD-RW and followed the simple instructions to format it and then recorded something else. I have been playing about with this recorder for a few days now and I have even edited the adverts out of a program that I recorded. I have copied from the HDD to DVD. I have deleted things from the HDD. I have recorded things using Videoplus, I have even watched something off the HDD whilst recording something else to the HDD. I don't know much about DVD recorders, so I don't know if it has more or less features than other recorders, but I am very happy with it, it does what I need it to do and at around £250 I think this is good value for money.
