A tidy little two in one unit with the same features as most other machines in this price band. It plays virtually ever type of video format (not blueray). The remote is simple to use although navigating the menus is slightly fiddly. Its not exactly a slim stlyish machine but it does what it says on the tin. Transfering old VCR videos to dvd is easily done and that is probably the only reason i could see to buy this unit over a standard dvd player. The operation is good - although it is a little slow to boot up the disc and it makes some odd clunking noiss when playing a video (maybe my machine was a bit defective). So its not bad, prob only worth buying if you need to transfer old videos to dvd. If you just want a dvd player look at a named dvd player, sony etc
