Advantages: No film to worry about, can be purchased for a very reasonable price. Disadvantages: Battery useage, does not last long.

2.0 mega pixels means that you get approx 2 million dots that make up your picture and whilst this is not film quality it is pretty good and in my view good enough for most home users for snapshots.
It quotes a six times zoom but don`t be ... ...but it also has 2 times Digital which is not the same thing.
Digital zoom will loose some quality of picture so I rarely contemplate using it.
A 1.6" monitor is excellent and gives you a good view for composing your picture. It has a variety of readouts on screen which are a big help too !
The 8mb memory is probably sufficient for most people but you can add a plug in memory card SD ( 16mb and 32mb )has I have done and this ... more

It quotes a six times zoom but don`t be fooled it is 3 times optical which is most important but it also has 2 times Digital which is not the same thing. Digital zoom will loose some quality of picture so I rarely contemplate using it. A 1.6" monitor is excellent and gives you a good view for composing your picture. The 8mb memory is probably sufficient for most people but you can add a plug in memory card SD ( 16mb and 32mb )has I have done and this is very usefull if you have a printer that will print from memory cards (see an office for the missus which describes such a device, The hp 2175 ) It also quotes a movie clip availability but this must be very short owing to memory. I much prefer my video camera for that kind of thing.
EASE OF USE
Depends on what you want. You can easily use it for snapshots by simply switching on and making sure it is set for still image mode on the dial located on top. For instant viewing you then move the dial around to play and by pressing a button can view everything recorded. If you want to try movie clip then move to another position. if you want to alter settings and you can do this then move the dial to setup mode and make it beep, format it, alter date and time and even put video out. Short clips of course.
It has USB out so the images can be loaded into your computer for whatever you wish to do with them. Can get a little complicated if you wish but really its better for normal uncomplicated use.
PICTURE QUALITY Very acceptable for home use but don`t expect proffessional quality. You need a few more megs for that ( a lot more money too! Contrast could be better but overall its pretty good and excellent value for money if you find the right price. I paid £70.00 for mine so have no regrets at all.
RELIABILITY The biggest problem is batterries because whilst its not to bad when you are out shooting but to much use of flash will run the batterries down quickly and when loading into a computer you can have a similar effect. I understand that there may be a rechargeable battery pack available and will sort that out if its true. The instructions also state that there is a power supply but at the moment I haven`t seen one for sale anywhere.
INSTRUCTION BOOKLET. One of the best instruction booklets I have seen.Lots of pictures etc provided which makes things so much easier.
OVERALL Nice handy camera for snapshots for personal use but enlargements of around A4 size lose some quality but once again should be ok if you are not seeking perfection. All in all good value for the price.
Advantages: Fantastic camera, great pics & clear screen Disadvantages: Needs special batteries
We bought our camera 3 months ago and I've been very pleased with its performance. It's able to take very good quality photos, regardless of whether in artifical or natural light. The camera will tell you when there is 'low light' but will automatically adjust itself to take the best photograph. Camera will also do short video streaming, but no sound.
If you're not very technical, like myself, this camera is great because it's so easy to use, it's ... ...easy to use zoom too.
The colour screen is great and you can view all the photos stored on your camera. You also have the choice to delete any photo from here before sending them to your PC.

...to use. Just plug in the camera and Digimax Viewer automatically leads you through the process. The only "problem" I have is that MGI photo-suite beats the Samsung DIgimax Viewer to it and takes over with Digimax viewer popping up haveway through the process to have a go too! ...

This camera is not the best on the market, by a long shot, however for the price you can get it for nowadays, it can be a very useful purchase, although out of date, the zoom on it can be very effect, although if you are a person who is planning to go into the photography world, this is definately not the camera for you, its red eye removal can be useful, the other features of this camera are quick and easy to use.

this camera is ok and it is very small and light weight and the photo quality is very good and the software that comes with the camera eg the photo impressions disk is really good and has lots of really cool stuff on it that you can do with your pictures when youve uploaded them to you pc for example turn them in to greetings cards and postcards .the only problem with this camera is that the battery life is very poor the batterys i put in it only ...
