I brought this camera last year ready for holiday and it has been immense since day one!
I wanted something that had a lot of features but didnt need to be top of the range - then I came across the gem - I paid £65 for it (still sell for that price on Amazon I believe) I was expecting something that was complicated or tempormental and to my surprise it incredible!

With 5.1 mega pixel it offers a good quality size of picture and the resolution is very clear - infact I have taken quite a lot of pictures on the 1 mega pixel mode as it saves memory and these still come up amazing! (Still come up about 1024 x 768 so you can then set them as desktop)
Also the 3 times optical zoom is very usuful; optical is a lot better than digital as it doesnt affect the picture quality- digital doesnt you might as well just wait and zoom in on your pc after its been uploaded! It gets pixelated--- but with 3times digital zoom you can just use that!!! A real bonus as cheaper cameras normally have lotes of digital and no optical!

The camera is easy to use and simple (my mum the most untechnological person in the world has no problems) The auto setting is the one I prefer and this takes quality picture after picture! The auto can be turned off if you dont trust the camera at night or something--- but I shouldnt worry about this as the camera is very smart and reads the environment briliantly!

I would recommend getting so rechargable batteries for it as the screen on the back is large and will drain the juice quite quickly- but expect to keep it on for 2-3 hours before that.

The biggest flaw about the camera is the video... its still great for the price but there needs to be something lol?! It doesnt compress the file very well so short clips can take up soo much space and when you watch them back you are disapointed with the quality-- If you know what your doing I would recommend setting the camera to the highest possible video settings to keep the quality and then compress it on your pc!

This is I believe to be the best all round camera for its price- and its samsung so you know its going to have quality about it!
