...a rather cheap but funky Samsung Digimax 400 (reviewed earlier on here) and quite liked the feel of the thing and had got used to the menus. Simply replacing the camera with the same model would not have been in the slightest bit therapeutic, so an upgrade was in order, which was my main reason for choosing the S600. That and the fact that the salesman was quite sexy, there was a special offer that day and I couldn't afford any of the others. I was ... ...months or so of great fun with it. Of course, having a beautiful and ever changing baby to snap every day just adds to the pleasure of having a digital camera, but I do feel this camera is rather good. Let me give you a guided tour.

...year I have found this Samsung S600 offered at the price of 67pounds. I decided on the moment to buy it and don't regret it.
The first thing you have to do is buy a memory card as the internal memory is definitely not enough. This camera uses SD or MMC cards which are basically the cheapest in the market. I suggest you to buy a card with a storage capacity of minimum 1GB as at best quality you pictures will be up to 4MB each.
The optical 6 megapixel ... ...quality of the pictures captured by this sensor is acceptable whether day time and just satisfying in low light conditions. The zoom level is exceptional for this price range. The 3X optical zoom and 5X digital zoom offer good quality event at the maximum 15X zoom images aren't blured. Another strong positive point of this camera is the large display met usually at more expensive camera's. It offers good preview on night too.

I bought this camera when my baby was born, as i needed a good quality but cheap camera to take lots of photos with. I paid 89.99 without any extras but i also bought myself a memory card as you really do need this if you want to take photos on the best quality setting. The camera is very easy to use. Standard on and off button on top and click button on top right to take a picture. There are different settings for you to take photos on, like when ... ...short videos, but this takes up a lot of memory quickly. I usually just use the auto setting and take loads of photos. To transfer photos you just use a USB cable into your pc and it automatically connects for you and allows you to use the photos or transfer them onto your pc. One of the things i love about this camera is that it tells you when it is low light so you can adjust your shot, it takes good photos in any light on the auto setting although ...

I bought this Camera in PC world on special offer during the christmas period. When i opened the box I was greeted with a smart, silver, compact digital Camera. The Controls are easy to use or if you prefer to set it up manually with focal lengths etc there's also that option (Although I'm no Photographer so I have no idea how to use Manual mode), I've never used the advanced mode properly and have acheived great pictures(auto mode is great!). The ... ...great idea, you can use frames for example of the MGM lion logo then take a picture so its you as the lion as it were, very amusing :P The flash, red eye reduction etc is all easy to use, its all located on the circular button to the bottom right and one click and it can be turned on or off. The video function is very handy and the quality of sound and image on video mode is quite amazing for a digital camera with a frame rate of 30fps max and 15 ...

This stylish digital camera was bought for me as a christmas present as I am greatly interested in amateur photgraphy. I was very impressed by it's design and excellent quality. After trying out the camera I also discovered the amazing picture quality of 6 megapixels and was happily snapping away many professional quality pictures. However after taking 12 pictures I realised that the camera had very limited internal memory so i had to spend extra ... ...in one go.
Despite this small disappointment I carried on browsing through the camera's features and found there were different tones for photos (e.g. black and white, sepia ect), a video recorder with amazing sound quality, different automatic frames (e.g. happy birthday frame, love heart frame etc), on/off flash button for day and night, an easily accesible and excellent range for zoom and an easy to use delete button. I bought the S700 from Argos in December. It was included in the sales at £69.99. That is an excellent price for the best digital camera I have used. I never liked Samsung as a brand, but after using this, I would buy from Samsung again.
