I recently purchased this camera and I was a sceptical I must confess because it looked good but it seemed pretty cheap for such a high quality camera, or so they said anyway. Nevertheless I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. To my surprise it was so easy to use and the manual was so easy to follow. In fact many of the features did not need a manual because the camera was so simple and everything was so clear, even those of us who are not great with electronics are able to work it.
It is a 7.2 mega pixel camera yet the average mega pixel for a camera twice the price is 5 mega pixels. It looks cute and stylish. It has zoom of 5.8-17.4 mm which means you can take a picture of something from afar instead of pushing through the crowd to get to the from and then being unable to take the picture because people are pushing you. It also has a large LCD screen of 2.5 inches, allowing you to see the picture you’ve just taken instead of having to squint to see a person’s face on the screen because the screen is so small. It has a 1000 high sensitivity meaning you can catch moving pictures without it being blurred without recognition, which might I say is incredibly handy. These are just a few of the features it contains. It’s an amazing camera and although it may not be a Kodak or Sony camera or a professional camera, in my opinion Samsung is a name you can trust and the pictures produced are of an incredibly high quality.
I must say, although it is a great camera, it’s battery life is incredibly low, this is because you have to you the LCD screen as it does not have a peeping lens you can look through. It would be advisable to get rechargeable batteries or you will find yourself frequently going down to the shops. I would also recommend buying a memory stick also because it does not have a lot of memory on its own. Another thing I find annoying is that out of friends alone 4 of them have the same camera which I guess emphasises the quality of the camera and others also recognise this.
In my opinion the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by miles but I’ll leave you to make up your own mind. I hope this is useful to you.
